On the Shea Nut processing project, SAO Agro is developing a primary and secondary shea nut processing facility where shea nut will be processed into shea butter and its derivatives i.e. shea grits, shea kernels, etc. 

Shea butter is multidimensional in terms of use, hence its growing popularity in demand. In recent years, it has quickly emerged as the base of choice for the cosmetics industry for skin and hair-related products (edible oil, lip gloss, lipstick, skin moisturiser creams, African black soaps, and hair conditioners). Also in the kitchen applications industries, it is used for cooking oil, and as a waterproofing wax, among others. Unlike traditional methods that compromise quality and sustainability, we ensure that from the sourcing of raw materials to packaging, we optimise our state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to ensure adherence to Nigerian beauty product regulations. This allows us to produce only high-quality products tailored to consumer needs and also provide job opportunities to about 20,000 women.
