SAO Energy partnered with the Ondo State Internal Revenue on this electrification project. SAO Energy completed the implementation of sustainable solar street lighting systems in Ile Oluji, Igbokoda and Ore solar communities in 2020.  The street lighting systems combine solar technology with 2,000W energy-efficient LEDs to provide sustainable illumination for urban and rural areas.

Powered solely by solar energy, these lights store power in high-capacity batteries for continuous operation and are motion sensor enabled, an effective energy-saving concept. Our solar street lights are equipped with advanced LED fittings, built to withstand harsh weather conditions, they adapt to changing lighting needs and can be equipped with smart technology for remote monitoring and control. This environmentally friendly lighting solution has improved the safety of residents, especially pedestrians at nighttime.
