Land Clearing Activities

SAO Agro

Northern Nigeria

The infrastructural development of the farming ecosystem in Nigeria involves adapting the best practices in land preparation down to harvesting. This project involves mechanised land clearing on 29,500 hectares of farmland to facilitate transforming uncultivated land into arable land suitable for large-scale farming, cultivation, and other agricultural activities.

Advanced cutting-edge mechanised farming equipment was utilised for land clearing, tractor operations, and land preparation. The infrastructural impact of this project includes transforming vast areas of land for agricultural use and supporting the transition of stakeholders in local communities from subsistence farming to large-scale farming operations. This initiative is part of SAO Agro's broader goal to increase agricultural productivity via the highest level of efficiency and productivity, support, and increase access to mechanised farming across Nigeria.
