As our Head of Accounts/Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our financial health, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, adhering to all accounting standards and best practices.
- Reconcile bank statements, manage month-end closing procedures, and prepare financial reports for management review.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support informed decision-making.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial analysis and recommendations.
- Oversee internal controls, develop and implement accounting policies, and manage a team of accounting professionals.
Who You Are:
- A highly motivated and organized accounting professional with a minimum of 8+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel).
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an ICAN – Chartered Accountant qualification and/or membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a strong plus.
